CytRx Corporation has several openings for Research Associates to join our chaperone biology and drug screening groups. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience or a similar discipline, is required. Work done in the area of transcription factor analysis, such as gel shift assay, chromatin Immunoprecipitation,  co-transfection assays, expression and mutagenesis of genes, generation of stable cell lines, protein purification, high throughput assay development , high throughput screening  robotics operation and data handling is desirable. The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment is essential.

We are also looking for several Research Scientists with Ph.Ds in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience or a similar discipline. Research areas in cellular stress response, chaperone proteins, transcription factors, protein biochemistry as well as research done in target identification and mechanism of action study for small molecules would be highly appropriate. A good publication record in peer reviewed journals and industry experience are desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for the generation and analysis of data from molecular and biochemical studies. They will also have opportunity to present our work both internally and externally, in national as well as international meetings.

You will be joining a dynamic team of scientists working on the biology of protein misfolding and the practical roles of molecular chaperone play in such processes. You will also have the opportunity to develop assays and screens to look for new therapeutics aimed at neurodegenerative, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
